Not a Red Rose In Sight!

Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

Instead of the usual red roses, I'd like to suggest gorgeous colors to make you smile.

A petite vase of deep blue hydrangea?

Or a happy vase of bright daffodils?

Perhaps quince branches? You can force them to bloom inside yourself if you cut the branches now. (See how here.)

Enjoy a riot of colors... all without a red rose in sight!

If you could choose, what would be your preference?

  1. Oh yes, this spring 'signs' make me happily smile!
    Very uplifting!

  2. love quince branches, a tease for spring to come.
Hope you are having a beautiful, colorful Valentine day

  3. I wish I could lay my hands on some quince branches !

  4. Any flowers, including blossoms, and twigs are wonderful. But the beauty of a simple bunch of flowers picked from the garden or fields is very difficult to beat. Bisous

  5. I love all flowers--can't wait for spring!

  6. Valentine’s Day is a special day for every lover. Also known as Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, it is a traditional holiday honoring St Valentine or Valentinus, a Roman priest. The saint was martyred about AD 269 and buried on the Via Flaminia. So Valentine’s Day is celebrated as a tribute to him on February 14 each year. Lovers all over exchange gifts on this day. But Valentine’s Day is not just for the romantic partner; you can also give Valentine’s Day gifts to your sister, mother, father, daughter or son as a show of love. But of course, these will be general gifts and not romantic ones. Let us take a look at the history of Valentine’s Day and the Valentine Week.
